Doraemon Takes a Trip in Seoul

Doraemon (ドラえもん) took a little trip to today. I had to fly from from Seoul to Pohang for a little work trip and he tagged along. He really got a kick out of the Dragon Drum at Gimpo Airport.

On the Asiana flight he enjoyed some orange juice. He had to hurry since it was such a short flight!

After arriving in Pohang he thought he was a super spy on the super secret Marine Corps Base at Camp Mujuk. (Don't tell him, but its not such a big secret.

On the way home he got to ride the Seoul Subway. So he had to get a subway card.

First stop was at Gimpo Int'l Airport.

Doraemon is such a good citizen and patiently waits in line.

The subway wasn't too crowded from the airport. It gets crazier when you get into the heart of the city.

I'm not sure why, but Doraemon was really fascinated with the big Transfer to Line 2 sign!

That was a fun ride, time to exit the paid area.

Time to leave the underground and get back to the world above!

Doraemon at Makawehi & Pa'a Dunes

Doraemon (ドラえもん) checking out the beach in Kaua'i... Can't go in the water because the red flag for "Hazarous Conditions" is flying.   This part of the beach is Makawehi & Pa'a Dunes and a part of the Koloa Heritage Trail (Ka ala hele waiwai ho'oilina o Koloa).

The eastern sand dunes of Makawehi (calm face) and Pa'a (Hard Rock), yield fossillized plant roots, bird bones, crab claws and other treasures. Prior to extensive wave erosion, this prominent limestone ridge extended across Keoneloa Bay. During March through November, water birds visit and sea birds nest and roost in the dunes.
